An exceptionally fine cello bow by James Tubbs made c.1895, which coincidentally was the year of William Ebsworth Hill’s death. Tubbs and Hill had an association which came to an abrupt and acrimonious end. The engraving on the ferrule ‘W E H’ could be a tribute to a former friend and business associate?
