This violin is in excellent condition with a full even balanced tone .

Dehommais and Germain,Paris 1879

Germain, born Paris 1853 went into partnership with Dehommais until 1872-1882. Awarded Exhibition medals and Diplomas.

Roughly 100 instruments were made while in partnership .

This violin has a powerful projection with sweet tone.

Born Mazirot (Vosges France) 1842.

Established at Lille 1865.

This is a stunning example of his work, a beautiful figured one piece back with luxurious red brown oil varnish on a warm golden ground. The violin is in excellent condition.

The tone is full, powerful and brilliant, previously owned by orchestral leader.
