Restoration
We pride ourselves on the standard of the repair and restoration service we provide for all instruments and bows. When working on better instruments our emphasis is on conservation. We aim to preserve as much of the original as possible in order to retain the character of the instrument. Most repairs are carried out on the premises under the auspices of our head of workshop, Helen Pegram. Helen trained at the Welsh School of Violin - making and has worked in several workshops, including World of Basses in Reutingen, Germany. We also have a number of expert outworkers, who undertake large scale restorations and bow work.
All work is fully guaranteed and we are approved repairers for British Reserve Insurance. | |  |
If you want to upgrade an antique instrument that you bought from us we guarantee that we shall give you what you paid for it, subject to its condition. We also give generous allowances on newer instruments, whether or not they were bought from us.
If you want to sell an instrument, we may be able to do that for you and deduct a small commission.
