For over 10 years we have been the UK distributor for Jay Haide, a US company owned by Jay Ifshin of  El Cerrito, California.

The instruments, which are entirely handmade, are exceptionally well built, using excellent materials producing a tonal quality normally found in those costing much more.

We have had an enthusiastic response from players, makers and dealers confirming our belief that these are the best instruments available for the
student / intermediate range.

There are 3 choices of Jay Haide instrument,

- Plain (figured maple and standard red brown varnish)

- Superior (104 Highly figured maple, brushed oil varnish)

- Antique (High quality choice tonewoods with a beautifully applied antique finish)

All instruments are professionally set up, by our qualified staff, with a good quality bridge, soundpost, endpin and pegs.

The fingerboard and top nut are shaped appropriately and good quality strings i.e Dominant, Pirastro, Larsen and Jargar fitted.

Available:

Violins: Stradivari, Guarneri, Balestrieri and Guadagnini models, 1/4 to full size

Violas: Stradivari and Maggini models from 15″ to 16 3/4″

Cellos: Stradivari, Goffriller, Montagnana and Ruggeri models, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 7/8 and full size

Double Basses: Panormo or Quenoil model 3/4 size only

Baroque instruments in ‘Plain’ or ‘Antique’ varnish.
